Bharat Biotech and Dank Minh donate 200,000 doses of COVAXIN to Vietnam

The Republic of Vietnam will obtain 2,00,000 doses of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin vaccine, Bharat Biotech’s Joint Managing Director Suchitra Ella mentioned on Thursday at a operate organized by Vuong Dinh Hue, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The donation represents a gesture of goodwill for offering entry to Bharat Biotech’s WHO-approved, indigenously developed COVAXIN to struggle the COVID-19 pandemic throughout borders. COVAXIN has acquired an Emergency Use List (EUL) in Vietnam.

Bharat Biotech was invited by the Embassy of Vietnam for a one-on-one assembly with the President of the National Assembly to debate the probabilities of collaboration, provide and know-how switch.

“It is an honor for us to serve the Republic of Vietnam in a humble manner and would like COVAXIN’s contribution to help promote the country’s national immunization program and recover from the pandemic,” mentioned Ella.

Bharat Biotech has accomplished Phase-2 and Phase-3 trials of COVAXIN for youngsters aged 2 to 18 years. The information has been submitted to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) and is awaiting ultimate approval. Children may also have entry to COVAXIN if authorised.


In Vietnam, Bharat Biotech is working with Duc Minh Medical JSC in the direction of commercialization of INDIRAB (Inactivated Rabies Vaccine). Duc Minh is India Biotech’s native associate in Vietnam.

Bharat Biotech has provided INDIRAB to Vietnam, supporting their nationwide rabies vaccine requirement.
