An RTI activist was shot useless on Friday in Harsiddhi in Bihar’s East Champaran district after he had filed round 90 RTI functions in search of particulars on authorities land encroachment.
Police stated that the incident came about at round 11.30 am close to Harsiddhi block workplace. RTI activist Bipin Agarwal (45) was shot at by unidentified assailants who got here on a motorbike.
Aggarwal, who sought details about encroachment on authorities land in Harsiddhi, has been attacked prior to now as properly. He had lately approached the police for defense.
Reacting to the information, Civil Rights Forum convener and distinguished RTI activist Shiv Prakash Rai stated: “Agarwal had filed several RTIs to expose the land encroachers… How is it being targeted”.
