A Bill to amend the Central Universities Act, 2009 to determine a college within the Union Territory of Ladakh was launched within the Lok Sabha on Thursday.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2021 Amidst the uproar by opposition members over the Pegasus espionage controversy and the farmers’ subject.

Opposition leaders opposed the introduction of the invoice together with Congress member Manish Tewari, saying it’s a time-honored custom of the House that no regulation could be mentioned till the House is so as.
