The first look of the ZEE5 documentary-series Break Point was launched on Friday. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, the movie depicts the skilled and private partnership between India’s legendary tennis gamers Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi. It is alleged to be a particular behind-the-scenes story on the couple’s Wimbledon win in 1999.
The duo shared the poster on their private Instagram handles with the caption, “We put Indian tennis on the map, but when we had the world at our feet we left. The time has finally come to hear the untold story of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi.”
Talking about Break Point, Leander Paes in a press release stated, “I loved this stroll down reminiscence lane whereas taking pictures for Break Point. While Mahesh and my on-court partnership was coated extensively, And our off-court chemistry was largely speculated. This is the primary time our followers will get to see and listen to all of it for the primary time.”
Mahesh Bhupathi stated, “It is no secret that I am reserved when it comes to communicating, so it is a big step for me to relive the journey and present it in the most candid and honest way possible. But, at the same time, I am glad that our fans will get to see our journey which was a mixture of sweat, perseverance, brotherhood and sometimes blood and tears.”
The break level was introduced final month. This is the primary time that Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari have co-directed a venture. The launch date of the docu-series is but to be introduced.
