A person has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after a 26-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a white van as he was strolling.
It occurred at 05:00 GMT on Saturday on the junction of Preston Road and Cumberland Road in Brighton, East Sussex.
The van drove away from the scene however was stopped on the A27 in Worthing, West Sussex later.
A 40-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested.
