The BSF Saturday apprehended six Bangladeshi nationals, together with three ladies and a toddler, whereas they have been making an attempt to cross over into India, and handed them over the neighboring nation’s border guarding drive, officers mentioned.

A BSF assertion mentioned the six have been apprehended early Saturday after they have been making an attempt to cross over to this aspect at Ranghat and Jeetpur border outposts.

They have been handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh hours later at two border outposts in North 24 Parganas district.

During interrogation, it emerged that a few of them have been coming to India to satisfy their kinfolk, whereas others have been in the hunt for work and so they had paid Bangladeshi Taka within the vary of 5,000 -14,000 to totally different touts.

The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals have been handed over to the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) on humanitarian floor, the assertion mentioned.

The apprehended individuals have been recognized as Sabooj Barin Datta (73) from Faridpur District; Sujan Maridha of Bagerhat; Sakina Khatoon (30) of Satkhira; Ummah Khulsun of Narayanganj; Promila Mandal (27) of Gopalganj and her little son Jay Mandal (3).
