Case registered towards BJP MP for allegedly misbehaving with monks, different members of Jageshwar Dham in Uttarakhand

The Revenue Police in Uttarakhand’s Almora district has booked BJP MP from Amla in Uttar Pradesh Dharmendra Kashyap and three others for utilizing abusive phrases and misbehaving with monks of Jageshwar Dham and different members of the temple administration committee.

According to Revenue Sub-Inspector Gopal Singh Bisht, the incident is of July 31. Bisht mentioned that he has registered a case towards the MP and the accused on the grievance of the temple committee. Kashyap and three others had gone to the temple round 3.30 pm and remained contained in the temple until round 6.30 pm regardless of the temple gates being closed for devotees until round 6.30 pm.

“As per the grievance, the employees had repeatedly requested the MP to depart the temple. The priest and members of the temple committee have alleged that when he requested the MP to depart, he misbehaved and abused her.

Bisht mentioned an FIR has been registered towards Kashyap and three others beneath sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code. “Investigation has already been started in the matter,” he mentioned.

Reacting to the incident, Congress state chief Ganesh Godiyal requested the BJP central management to take motion towards Kashyap and cancel his Lok Sabha membership.
