Prem Kumar is the General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Mansa district and has been in politics for greater than 30 years.

According to the FIR lodged, Prem Kumar was delivered to Mansa from Faridkot by the lady’s sister promising her sister a job. Then she was engaged on contract as a sweeper within the metropolis council. However, later Kumar began abusing her, resorting to blackmail and threats by claiming that he had clicked some objectionable footage of her.

Fed up with Kumar’s threats, on June 10 (Thursday), a 22-year-old lady allegedly consumed some toxic substance in an try to finish her life. She is later taken to a metropolis hospital the place she is presently combating for her life.

An FIR was lodged towards Prem Kumar on Friday primarily based on a grievance by the lady’s sister, with police claiming that Kumar had absconded by then.

During their investigation, the police additionally discovered that Kumar used to make alleged casteist remarks towards the 22-year-old, primarily based on which provisions of the SC/ST Act have been added to the FIR.

Meanwhile, Gurlabh Singh, a lawyer from Mansa, has additionally sought justice by sending a grievance to the National Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe President, Vijay Kumar Sampla, a senior BJP chief, on the problem.
