Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo on Friday accused the Center of deceptive the nation with its assertion that states had not disclosed any knowledge on deaths because of lack of oxygen in the course of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He mentioned the state authorities was re-auditing the deaths recorded in the course of the second wave.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Singh Deo mentioned: “The Government of India has been continuously given data… though they never asked about the deaths due to lack of oxygen, even among the states. Didn’t even ask it as a separate column on the forms to be filled. Then making the statement…is an attempt to hide the deliberate mismanagement.”
