Senior Congress chief B Ramnath Rai on Sunday slammed the Center for rejecting the tableau of saint reformer Sree Narayana Guru proposed by the Kerala authorities in the course of the Republic Day parade.
Addressing reporters right here, Rai stated the rejection of the tableau of the good visionary Shree Narayana Guru by the central authorities for the Republic Day parade was “extremely condemnable”. Guru was an important visionary, religious thinker and social reformer who fought in opposition to the caste system, injustice and social discrimination executed by the higher castes to the oppressed backward lessons.
The Guru who preaches the precept of One Caste, One Religion, One God has 1000’s of followers and devotees. The former minister stated the Center has insulted the good visionary and his philosophy by rejecting a tableau on him. Rai stated that when the Congress was in energy in Karnataka, the state celebrated Guru’s start anniversary as a authorities programme.
A Sree Narayana Guru Study Chair was additionally established at Mangalore University. He stated that the rejection of his tableau by the Center is an insult to the good visionary, it can’t be tolerated.
