The Center and the Assam authorities on Thursday signed a tripartite settlement to mainstream eight armed tribal teams in Assam and provides them political and financial rights.

The teams which have signed the settlement embrace Birsa Commando Force (BCF), Adivasi People’s Army (APA), All Adivasi National Liberation Army (ANLA), Adivasi Cobra Military of Assam (ACMA) and Santhali Tiger Force (STF).

The remaining three organizations are separate teams of BCF, AANLA and ACMA.

Later addressing the representatives of tribal teams, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated: “We will faithfully comply with all the things in our settlement. The Narendra Modi authorities has a document that about 93 % of all the guarantees made in numerous agreements have been carried out. All these agreements have established peace in numerous areas of the Northeast.
