Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has mentioned that the central authorities will make all efforts to carry again Indian nationals from Afghanistan just like the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ wherein the terrorist group Taliban has re-emerged.

The Vande Bharat Mission was undertaken final 12 months to carry again Indians stranded overseas following the suspension of normal worldwide flights following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Indian government will bring back its citizens from Afghanistan to their homes, as we did in the Vande Bharat Mission through Air India and Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft,” Scindia informed reporters late Tuesday night time. Shajapur in Madhya Pradesh, the place he reached as a part of his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’.

Scindia mentioned that the central authorities had began evacuation from Afghanistan final Friday.

“The evacuation process continued for three days. But, when a flight was about to take off on Sunday, a NOTAM (a notice to alert aircraft pilots of potential dangers along the flight route) was received after firing at Kabul airport,” he mentioned.

After NOTAM, the airspace over Kabul was closed, thus hampering the evacuation course of on Monday, the minister mentioned.

Later, an Indian Air Force plane went to Kabul on Tuesday and introduced again the Indian nationals.

“We will leave no stone unturned to bring back all our citizens from Afghanistan. We have already done this under Vande Bharat Mission,” the minister mentioned.

After beginning his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ from Dewas district of MP on Tuesday morning, Scindia reached Shajapur late within the night time.

As a part of the tour, varied newly-appointed Union Ministers are reaching out to the folks and informing them concerning the welfare schemes of the Centre.

Apart from Scindia, Union Minister SP Singh Baghel additionally visited Gwalior district on Tuesday.
