Chancellor Quasi Quarteng has confirmed that he won’t reduce the 45p charge of earnings tax on folks incomes greater than £150,000 yearly.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Mr Quarteng confirmed the U-turn 10 days after the plan was introduced within the mini-budget. He mentioned the plans have develop into “a distraction from our core mission of tackling the challenges facing the country”.
Just yesterday, Prime Minister Liz Truss advised the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg program on Sunday that she was dedicated to the proposal.
