Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui launched on Friday. The movie acquired a combined response from the critics. Indian Express movie critic Shubhra Gupta gave the movie two and a half stars.

“Abhishek Kapoor’s film, which is about how love is about love, hello gender fluidity, differences be damned, is on to something. Even in 2021, Bollywood likes to play safe and keep all tricky topics away. That’s it. On the score, it is an act of courage to have a trans person as a romantic plot point. But Kapoor is also careful, one might say a little too careful, and everything wraps up in jokey stereotypes. so worried about alienating form, you might as well downplay the seriousness of your subject. So you go ahead and put in words like ‘chuck’ (ugh) so you can push your protagonist back against it And feel great. But using ‘mad doctor’ for psychiatrists? Really?” He wrote in his evaluate.
