Megastar Chiranjeevi is at present basking on the success of his political thriller Godfather, wherein he performs the lead position of Brahma. “I believe cinema is a collective effort. Behind success is a collective effort. So I don’t think this victory is just mine. The last film (Acharya) which came out in April was disappointing. Me and Charan made the buyers feel good. Godfather has given me a lot of satisfaction,” said Chiranjeevi. The actor recalled, “When I saw Lucifer, I wondered if I could do such roles and get approval. If I can, then there will be an opportunity to do more diverse stories and roles.”

The 67-year-old actor revealed that it was Pushpa director Sukumar who felt that Lucifer can be good for the megastar. Chiranjeevi mentioned, “Director Sukumar instructed me that if some adjustments are made then Lucifer can be good for me. Sukumar gave the thought however was not accessible later (laughs). Later we mentioned with one or two administrators. One day Charan Babu took the identify of director Mohan Raja. Mohan Raja is the director who made Thani Oruvan brilliantly.
