President Draupadi Murmu stated on the 68th National Film Awards ceremony in New Delhi on Friday that cinema is an efficient device for nation constructing and increasing India’s delicate energy globally.

Satchidanandan KR gained the Best Director award for the Malayalam movie AK Ayyappanam Koshiyum and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior gained the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur stated, “Today cinema has crossed the boundaries of theater and reached our houses and cell phones with the appearance of OTT.
