Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s mom Paola Maino handed away on Saturday, 27 August at her residence in Italy. His final rites had been carried out on Tuesday.
The Congress president had gone out final week to satisfy her mom, who has turned 90.
“Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s mother Mrs. Paola Maino passed away on Saturday 27 August 2022 at her home in Italy. The last rites took place yesterday,” AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh mentioned on Twitter.
Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are already overseas and have visited their hometowns.
