Toyota, which took its first commercially produced electrical vehicles off the street in 1997, acknowledged that it was “the most suitable vehicle, including zero emissions products, in response to the diverse economic environment, readiness of clean energy and charging infrastructure, industrial policies, and needs of customers in each country and region”.
