The Union Health Ministry and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) have collectively issued pointers for issuance of “official documents” in case of COVID-related deaths. As per these pointers, circumstances that are identified via RT-PCR/ Molecular Test/ Rapid Antigen Test, searching for compensation for demise of COVID in a case submitted by the Center to the Supreme Court, or those that are medically prescribed in a hospital or an inpatient facility by a health care provider, whereas one is admitted there, shall be acknowledged as COVID circumstances.
