The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is planning to implement pace limits on two-wheelers with kids driving backwards. The ministry, in a draft notification, proposed to enhance the protection quotient and set a goal of limiting the pace to no more than 40 kmph for two-wheelers with a toddler as much as 4 years of age. The ministry additionally proposes that kids within the age group of 9 months to 4 years driving a two-wheeler should put on a crash helmet.
