National Commission for Scheduled Castes Chairman Vijay Sampla on Saturday spoke to the Punjab DGP and demanded strict motion in opposition to the villagers for not permitting the final rites of a Dalit farm laborer who was discovered useless on the Singhu border on Friday. .
“This is in opposition to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The villagers will not be permitting the final rites of the deceased.
