“Shane was a proud supporter of Test cricket and you only have to look at all the fans who turned up at the MCG on Boxing Day in their floppy hats and jinks to realize what a profound impact he had on the game.” Warne himself received the award as soon as in 2006 for his document 40 wickets in 2005.
This Australian Cricket Awards might be introduced on 30 January.
