Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers Sujoy Lal Thosen and Anish Dayal Singh have been appointed as the brand new Director Generals of CRPF and ITBP respectively.
Thosen, a 1988 batch officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, is presently serving because the Director General (DG) of the Border Security Force Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and is holding the extra cost of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
The submit of DG of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) fell vacant after the retirement of IPS officer Kuldeep Singh (1986-batch) on Friday.
Anish Dayal Singh, a 1988 batch officer (Manipur cadre) is presently serving because the Special Director within the Intelligence Bureau.
Thosen’s scheduled retirement is in November this 12 months, whereas Singh will retire in December 2024.
The order of his appointment was issued by the Personnel Ministry after approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister.
