Dam Bill launched in Rajya Sabha amid protests

Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge sought to lift the problem of suspension however the Speaker mentioned Question Hour was occurring and nothing may very well be raised. The House was once more adjourned until 2 pm.

At 2 pm, Shekhawat moved a movement for consideration of the Dam Bill. As he started his speech, the members demanded that Kharge be allowed to talk on the problem of suspension. Later, he adjourned the proceedings of the House until 3 pm.

When the House met at 3 pm after the post-lunch adjournment, the opposition members resumed their protest.
