Perth Glory has signed former Liverpool and England participant Daniel Sturridge for the 2021-22 A-League season.
Sturridge is a two-time UEFA Champions League and FA Cup winner, scoring 68 targets throughout a six-year spell at Liverpool and successful the Premier League title with Chelsea. He was additionally part of England’s squad at each the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 European Championship.

The 32-year-old striker’s contract with Turkish aspect Trabzonspor was terminated in March final 12 months after he was handed a four-month worldwide ban for breaching betting guidelines.
“This is a great opportunity to try a new challenge,” Sturridge stated in an announcement to Perth Glory. “When the opportunity came, it felt like the right thing to do.”
The 2021-22 A-League season is scheduled to start in mid-November.
