England batsman David Malan is off to a questionable begin to the T20 World Cup semi-final in opposition to India on Thursday after being injured throughout the workforce’s ultimate Super 12 recreation.
Malan suffered a groin damage in England’s four-wicket win over Sri Lanka on Saturday. The former World No. 1 T20I batsman walked off the sphere throughout the Sri Lankan innings and didn’t return to bat in England’s run chase.
Vice-captain Moeen Ali mentioned Malan’s damage was not feeling nicely.
“He’s a big player and has been for many years,” Ali informed the BBC.
“He has been one of our best players. I don’t know but it (Malan’s injury) is not looking good.” Second-placed England of their Super 12 Group 1 will tackle Group 1 toppers India on Thursday.
“It doesn’t get bigger and better than playing with India anywhere in the world because of the crowd and they are such a big team and a force in cricket,” Ali mentioned.
Phil Salt, the one further batsman within the workforce, is a possible alternative if Malan doesn’t take the sphere.
