Under the Defense Acquisition Procedure 2020, tasks involving design and improvement of kit, techniques, main platforms or upgrades by the trade could be taken up beneath Make-I sub, as per which the Defense Ministry will present monetary help as much as 70 per cent of complete price of prototype improvement.
Under the Special Purpose Vehicle mannequin, “private industry will be encouraged to take up design and development of military platforms and equipment in collaboration with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and other organizations” for lengthy vary Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) [High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE)] and Indian Multi Role Helicopter (IMRH).
