However, Kumar fled and was caught by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on 23 May. Police stated the wrestler was absconding for weeks and traveled between Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab to evade arrest.

Crime Branch and Rohini district staff have additionally arrested criminals from Haryana within the homicide case.
