Thiruvananthapuram Congress MP Shashi Tharoor had additionally tweeted, saying, “It boggles the mind that a government institution in democratic India can ask its nurses not to speak in their mother tongue to those who tell them understand. It is unacceptable, uncivilized, objectionable and a violation of basic human rights of Indian citizens. A reprimand is overdue!”
