BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on Sunday launched a marketing campaign to vaccinate the slum dwellers within the East Delhi constituency. Gambhir mentioned that free vaccination camps can even be organized in different slums of East Delhi.
The marketing campaign started at Shashi Garden slum cluster in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar within the presence of a number of BJP leaders together with Gambhir and Delhi unit common secretary (organisation) Siddharthan.
“Many people in slums do not have mobile phones or are technically well versed or have smartphones, so these camps help them register on the CoWIN portal,” he mentioned.
“There is still vaccine hesitation among the poor because of all the misleading statements and false propaganda by the opposition leaders. We need to end this and vaccinate everyone for a healthy society,” mentioned the BJP MP.
The marketing campaign is being carried out in collaboration with Dharamshila Hospital, the assertion mentioned.
The cricketer-turned-politician can also be working one other vaccination camp from his workplace in East Delhi’s Jagriti Vihar in different days.
More than 2,500 folks on the camp have already been given the primary dose of Covishield, the assertion mentioned.
An aide of Gambhir mentioned that these vaccines are being procured by the MP Foundation from numerous hospitals in Delhi.
