Delhi University administration will lengthen price waiver to all college students who’ve misplaced one or each dad and mom to COVID-19.

The announcement was made by Acting Vice Chancellor PC Joshi throughout a prayer assembly in honor of DU neighborhood members who died of the virus.

During his deal with, Joshi mentioned that greater than 50 educating and non-teaching members of the college have misplaced their lives to COVID within the final two months. Some of the senior academics and directors who died throughout this era included Veena Kukreja, Head of Political Science Department, Joint Registrar Sudhir Sharma and former Dean Examinations Vinay Gupta.

“One after the other, we lost people in universities, in colleges. We have all been personally affected. More than 50 people from the university family have passed away. Our students have also lost their parents. We will waive the fees of all those who have lost their parents and I will convey this to all the principals as well. We will do whatever we can to help,” Joshi mentioned.

Meanwhile, the college will begin its open e-book on-line examination for all closing yr college students, which was postponed twice from Monday because of the enhance of COVID-19. These had been initially supposed to start out final month.

The college had offered the choice to look for the offline examinations to those that could have connectivity points or issues in showing the web examinations. However, all the scholars have opted for on-line mode.
