‘Details matter’: Akshay Kumar thanks retired Army officer for declaring mistake in Gorkha poster

Actor Akshay Kumar has a whole record of movies with Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan. Recently, the actor introduced his newest mission, Gurkha, which might be produced by Aanand L Rai. The movie relies on the lifetime of Major General Ian Cardozo, a legendary officer of the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army.

The first poster of the movie was launched on Friday, during which the fiery Akshay was seen holding a curved knife or a khukri. However, Manik M Jolly, a former Gorkha officer, identified a significant mistake within the poster. He talked about {that a} conventional khukri was totally different from the poster. He wrote, “Dear @akshaykumar ji, as a former Gorkha officer, thank you for making this film. However, the details matter. Please fix the hook. On the other hand there is a sharp edge. Akshay wrote again, “Dear Major Jolly, thank you so much for pointing this out. We will take utmost care while making the film. I am proud and honored to be a Gurkha. Any suggestions on how to get this closest to reality would be most appreciated. “

The former Gorkha officer had earlier identified a mistake within the poster of Sam Bahar, the biopic of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw starring Vicky Kaushal. He wrote, “Someone who has been dressed incorrectly as is clear from the colour photographs. He is a Gorkha officer. He was sporting a black rank badge, not a golden one. This is the least anticipated from filmmakers. Give the correct to uniform to such veteran troopers.
