In view of safety considerations following the current incidents of technical glitches, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has prolonged the ban on SpiceJet to function solely 50 per cent departures until October 29.
The airline is reporting a number of technical fault incidents in the previous couple of months.
However, the DGCA stated that there was a big discount within the variety of safety incidents.
“However, as a matter of extreme caution, the Competent Authority has decided that the restriction imposed in the order dated 27.07.2022 shall remain in force till the end of the Summer Program i.e. 29.10.2022. Aircraft Rules,” an announcement from DGCA stated. The powers have been conferred below Rule 19A of 1937.
