Veteran actor Dilip Kumar handed away on Wednesday morning at Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai.
The 98-year-old actor was hospitalized for the final 15 days. Doctors stated that his therapy was occurring for the final 3-4 months. He was affected by superior prostate most cancers which had unfold to different elements of his physique.
“He had water in his pleural cavity, and he suffered kidney failure. He needed blood transfusions several times. We did the last transfusion but it did not help,” stated a hospital physician.
The actor was bedridden for a number of months and had develop into unresponsive in the previous couple of days. “The fluid that had accumulated in the pleural cavity had to be drained several times,” stated the physician. He finally suffered a drop in blood stress and hemoglobin. “The spread of the cancer made it difficult to treat,” stated the physician.
Joy Chakraborty, COO of PD Hinduja Hospital, confirmed the actor’s dying between 6.30-7 am on Wednesday.
Dr Jalil Parkar, a pulmonologist who handled Kumar for a very long time at Lilavati Hospital, stated the actor was affected by a number of issues associated to previous age.
