The New Zealand gamers shouldn’t be blamed for the cancellation of the Pakistan tour as they have been simply following their authorities’s recommendation, mentioned Kiwi pacer Mitchell McClenaghan.

The 35-year-old pacer was reacting to a sarcastic tweet by batsman Mohammad Hafeez on the eve of the New Zealand staff’s departure from Pakistan on Saturday.

“Come on now brother. It tastes bad. Don’t blame the players or the organization, blame our government. They have acted only on the advice they got. I am sure all these youngsters want to prove themselves that They want to play. They didn’t have a choice,” McClenaghan wrote on his Twitter deal with.

On Saturday, Hafeez took a dig at New Zealand Cricket (NZC) for canceling their tour of Pakistan citing safety threats.

“Thank you to the safety forces of Pakistan for making preparations for the Blackcaps to achieve Airport Safe & Sound. Wonder identical route and identical safety however no risk right this moment???,” Hafeez had tweeted.

New Zealand arrived in Pakistan on September 11 for a white-ball sequence after 18 years and have been to play three ODIs and 5 T20Is.

But New Zealand Cricket (NZC) abruptly referred to as off the sequence on Friday, simply forward of the primary One Day International on the Rawalpindi Stadium, after they discovered a critical safety risk.
