Don’t miss Venus-Mars Moon conjunction tonight

Shortly after 7 p.m. right now, sky gazers can see Earth’s two neighbors – Venus and Mars – shut to one another. This phenomenon is named ‘Planetary conjunction’ and the planets could be seen by their brightness. Venus shall be brighter than Mars as seen in vibrant white, whereas Mars could be seen in crimson.

It shall be simply seen to the bare eye within the western sky shortly after sundown. The two planets can be simply 0.5 levels aside, or the width of a finger. Along with the planets, you’ll see a skinny, dimly lit crescent moon. From tomorrow, Venus will proceed to maneuver to the left from Mars each night.

The Pune-based Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IAA), Bengaluru have invited photographic entries for the occasion, the perfect of which shall be revealed by the institutes.
