DUSIB to launch vaccination marketing campaign for Delhi’s homeless from Friday

The Delhi authorities on Friday launched a vaccination marketing campaign for the town’s homeless by organising a camp in Yamuna Pushta, an evening shelter space.

DUSIB (Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board) chief engineer SK Mahajan informed The Indian Express that the vaccine dose can be given from 8.30 am. He mentioned that three extra such vaccination facilities for the homeless would begin functioning for the homeless within the coming days.

DUSIB runs a community of 209 night time shelters by means of NGOs. According to the occupancy report shared by DUSIB, the shelters housed 4,905 folks on June 24.

The SDM (Kotwali) issued an order on Thursday informing concerning the institution of vaccination heart at Yamuna Pushta close to Nigambodh Ghat. The order mentioned that 4 vaccination officers can be deputed on the centre.
