EC publicizes bypoll in Uttar Pradesh’s Khatauli on Dec 5

The Election Commission on Tuesday introduced that bypolls to Khatauli meeting constituency in Uttar Pradesh might be held on December 5.

The announcement got here a month after a courtroom in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar sentenced BJP MLA Vikram Saini and 10 others to 2 years’ imprisonment in a case associated to the 2013 riots within the district. With the Election Commission’s announcement on Tuesday, bypolls for all vacant seats in 2022 have been lined.

Recently, seven meeting by-elections had been held on November 3 in six states. Their outcomes had been declared on November 6.
