ED attaches belongings value Rs 10 crore of Vikas Dubey, kinfolk, associates

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has connected belongings value over Rs 10 crore of Uttar Pradesh gangster Vikas Dubey, his household and associates beneath the Anti-Money Laundering Act.

A provisional order beneath the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) has been issued for attachment of 28 immovable properties positioned in Kanpur and Lucknow, the company stated.

“These belongings totaling Rs 10.12 crore are within the title of Vikas Dubey, his relations, affiliate Jayakant Bajpai and his relations and his (Dubey’s) associates and acquired from proceeds of crime earned by felony actions of Vikas Dubey. Is. An ED spokesperson stated.

On July 3, 2020, a police crew that went to Bikaru village in Kanpur to arrest Dubey got here beneath heavy hearth close to the gangster’s home. Eight policemen together with Deputy Superintendent of Police Devendra Mishra had been killed within the ambush.

Of the 21 individuals named within the FIR, the police killed six accused, together with Dubey, in alleged encounters over the next weeks.

The ED stated that Dubey alongside along with his associates was concerned in varied crimes like organized crime, land mafia, corruption and embezzlement of funds for the general public distribution system.

“Facts, evidence and records prove that the above persons were involved in the offense of money laundering and have invested the proceeds of the offense in immovable properties,” the spokesperson stated.

The ED had registered a cash laundering case in opposition to Dubey and his associates in Uttar Pradesh after taking cognizance of a number of FIRs.
