Indian and Pakistan armies on Wednesday exchanged sweets at varied locations alongside the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on the event of Eid-ul-Azha.

Lt Col Devendra Anand, an Army PRO, mentioned that the armies of each India and Pakistan exchanged sweets on the Poonch-Rawalkot and Mendhar-Hotspring crossing factors in Poonch district.

The two sides exchanged sweets on the historic Dantwal Crossing Bridge and Kaman Aman Setu at Uri in North Kashmir districts of Kupwara and Baramulla respectively.

The event was seen as a heightened confidence-building measure held within the backdrop of the continuing ceasefire between the nations.
