The nation’s soccer federation (FFF) stated on Thursday that France’s Kingsley Coman has been allowed to depart the European Championship group to attend the start of his little one.
The choice was licensed by coach Didier Deschamps and the federation allowed the Bayern Munich winger after session with governing physique UEFA and its COVID cell.
“Following consultation with UEFA and the UEFA COVID Cell, Didier Deschamps and the Federation authorized Kingsley Koman to join his partner and attend the birth of their child,” the FFF stated.
“All precautions have been taken, especially in terms of health.”
The 25-year-old Koman was an unused substitute in France’s 1-0 win over Germany of their opening Group F match on Tuesday. They will subsequent tackle Hungary at Puskas Arena on Saturday.
