Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia stated that the expenditure of the Delhi authorities has elevated by about 80% in April and May as in comparison with the corresponding interval of the final monetary 12 months.
He stated that the choice has been taken to rationalize the expenditure of the federal government and maintain it throughout the assets, because the tax assortment has come down.
Delhi’s income receipts in the course of the first two months of the present monetary 12 months stood at Rs 5,273.26 crore, whereas its expenditure reached Rs 8,511.09 crore. “There has been a decline in tax collections due to the COVID pandemic and the second wave of lockdowns, while the expenditure for implementation of various relief and other measures to contain the spread of the disease has increased as compared to previous years,” Sisodia stated.
