Porbandar Superintendent of Police Ravi Mohan Saini stated the fishermen have been rescued and delivered to Jakhau port in Gujarat’s Kutch district on Friday by an Indian Coast Guard boat.

He stated the FIR was registered at Jakhau and transferred to Navibandar, a police station in Porbandar district, which has territorial jurisdiction over 12 nautical miles from the Gujarat coast.

According to the FIR, a case was registered in opposition to the accused beneath sections 307 (try and homicide), 365 (kidnapping), 427 (inflicting harm), 324 (voluntarily inflicting harm) and 506 (1) of the Indian Penal Code.
