Gurgaon Police has registered an FIR towards 22 individuals who had been discovered partying at a visitor home within the metropolis in violation of COVID norms.

Inspector Dinesh Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO), Sadar mentioned, “Based on information, a team was sent to the guest house, and it was found that a lot of people were gathering there and having a liquor party.” Police Station SDR.

Officials mentioned an FIR has been registered towards 22 individuals, of whom 19 are residents of Delhi, one is a resident of Hisar, and two others are residents of Bhiwani and Rohtak respectively. The FIR was registered below sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (negligent act prone to unfold an infection of illness harmful to life), and part 34 (frequent intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as related sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Excise Act.

“The accused have been asked to sign the form stating that they will join the investigation. They will be produced in the court and further action in the matter of custody will depend on the direction of the court,” the SHO mentioned.

“The 22 people against whom we have registered the FIR also include the owner of the guest house. Further investigation is being done in the matter,” he mentioned.
