Police stated the weblog, kashmirfight.wordpress.com, was “run by a white-collar terrorist syndicate” whose job was to arrange a “hit-list” of presidency officers, journalists, social activists, legal professionals and political functionaries. The police had earlier claimed that it was being run by Pakistan.

“In a J&K-wide operation, houses and properties were searched at several places… belonging to five persons…” police stated, including that that they had seized a number of cell telephones, digital storage units and computing platforms. confiscated.

The arrested individuals have been recognized as Najeesh Yasrab Rahmani and Tabish Akbar Rahmani of Sanatnagar, Sofi Mohammad Akbar of Rajbagh, Peerzada Raqif Makhdoomi of Batpora Hazratbal and Javed Khalid of Poonch.
