Former Shia Waqf Board chairman Waseem Rizvi has been booked for rape by a lady whose husband used to work for her.
A case was registered in a Lucknow police station on Thursday. Rizvi has been booked underneath IPC sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily inflicting damage), 506 (prison intimidation) and 392 (dacoity).
Speaking to The Indian Express on Thursday night, Brijesh Kumar Yadav, SHO of the police station involved stated {that a} case has been registered on the orders of Lucknow’s Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate AK Srivastava. “He moved the court, which ordered registration of an FIR on Tuesday,” the SHO stated.
Since the sufferer’s husband labored for Rizvi, he alongside together with his spouse and youngsters lived within the quarters offered by him. The complainant alleges that Rizvi used to ship her husband out of Lucknow for work. “About five months ago, my husband called me saying that he was going out of town for some work assigned by Rizvi. That evening around 10 pm Rizvi knocked on my door and said that he wanted to talk to me about something important. As soon as I opened the door, he forcibly entered the quarter and started abusing me. As soon as I protested against him, he pushed me on the bed and raped me. He also took obscene pictures of me and threatened to make it public if I made noise. She alleged that after the incident, Rizvi would frequently ship her husband to work and rape her in his absence.
“He will say that he has relations with superiors and that she won’t be able to do something to him. I advised my husband about this and he spoke to Rizvi on June 11, after which he took my husband hostage and beat him up. He snatched her driving license, cell phone and purse. He even threatened to kill my whole household if I complained…” his criticism learn.
