Britain’s ties with France are “indestructible”, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated on Monday, whether or not the brand new AUKUS partnership between Australia, Britain and the United States in nuclear-powered submarines has broken ties.
“I believe that Britain and France have a very important and indestructible relationship,” he advised reporters in New York.
“And of course we will talk to all our friends about how to make the AUKUS treaty work so that it isn’t outcast, it’s not divisive and really shouldn’t be.”
