A 27-year-old girl and her lover had been allegedly murdered by her 4 brothers in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district late on Tuesday evening. The incident comes practically per week after a 19-year-old youth was allegedly lynched by family of his feminine pal in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, who later dedicated suicide.
One of the accused, Mursleen, 32, surrendered earlier than the Ramala police station in Baghpat and confessed to killing the 2, an official mentioned. Another accused, 28-year-old Shahnawaz, has been arrested by the police, whereas the search is on for the remaining two brothers.
Police mentioned Mursaleen, who reached Ramala police station round 11 pm on Tuesday, instructed them that he alongside along with his three brothers had killed his 27-year-old sister Mehjabeen and her boyfriend Arif (30). That the couple, who hails from Asra village, was in a relationship seven years in the past even after Mehjabeen’s marriage to a different individual in Shamli village.
According to the police, Mehjabeen and Arif had fled from Asra village on October 20 and since then their relations have been trying to find them together with the police. “Musleen’s friend, who had seen the couple in Meerut city on Tuesday, followed them, besides informing the brothers of Mehjabeen about their whereabouts. The brothers took both of them hostage after reaching Meerut by evening. The couple was taken to their village where the four brothers killed both of them,” he mentioned.
“The Ramala police officers in a late evening search operation recovered each the our bodies from the forests close to Asra and Lumb villages. Baghpat district SP Neeraj Kumar Jadoun mentioned that to this point two brothers have been arrested, whereas raids are on to nab the opposite two.
In one other incident in western UP, 19-year-old Zia-ur-Rehman was allegedly lynched by the relations of his feminine pal Tanu Saini at her home on the evening of November 1. Tanu later died by suicide. The police haven’t made any arrest on this regard.
