Official sources stated the Center has ordered 66 crore extra doses of Covishield and Covaxin to be provided between August and December this 12 months, excluding taxes, at a revised value of Rs 205 and Rs 215 per dose, respectively .

He stated that 375 crore Covashield doses from Serum Institute of India and 285 crore Covaxin doses from Bharat Biotech can be procured by December.

Orders have been positioned to acquire 66 crore extra doses of COVID-19 vaccines to be provided between August and December, at a revised value of Rs 205 and Rs 215 per dose, respectively, excluding taxes. The supply stated.

It stated the price of every dose of Covishield is Rs 215.25 and Covaxin Rs 225.75, which incorporates taxes.

The Union Health Ministry which was procuring each the vaccines at Rs 150 per dose had indicated that the costs can be revised after the brand new COVID-19 vaccine procurement coverage comes into drive from June 21. The value of vaccine doses for personal hospitals might be introduced by every vaccine producer, and any subsequent adjustments might be notified prematurely, it stated.

The Health Ministry stated on Saturday that greater than 41.69 crore vaccine doses have been supplied to the states and union territories up to now by all sources.
