Gujarat authorities would not care about fishermen: Minister

Gujarat’s Minister of State for Fisheries Purushottam Solanki stated on Tuesday that the state authorities is “not bothered” in regards to the fishermen group, and admitted that, though he’s a part of the federal government, “not much is being given” to the fishermen.

Commenting on the cyclone aid bundle and its implementation, Solanki stated, “Where is the implementation (of the aid bundle)? Go and ask within the coastal areas, you’ll know the fact. He stated fishermen must be given extra aid.

Solanki claimed that even his senior minister within the state authorities, Jawahar Chavda, was helpless on the problem. Solanki stated that he has given memorandum to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani a number of occasions. He stated, ‘It must be seen what the CM does now.
